Claudia G. Shannon

Claudia Grace Shannon holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Maryland. Ms. Shannon received her Juris Doctor from Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law in Washington, D.C. Claudia grew up in Wilton, Connecticut and moved to Montgomery County, Maryland towards the end of her high school career. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland and is in the process of applying to the Washington, D.C. bar.
While in law school, she competed in and won the overall first place award in the Second Annual Ellen A. (Nell) Hennessy Employee Benefits Moot Court Competition as an associate on Catholic University’s National Moot Court Team. She also worked as an associate for the Catholic University Journal of Law and Technology and received a Student Scholars Series Award in the Spring of 2020 for her article Direct to DNA Websites: Are they becoming de-facto universal DNA databases?
Prior to joining McDonough Law, Claudia worked as a judicial law clerk for Civil Coordinating Judge John P. Davey in the Prince George’s County Circuit Court. Throughout law school, Claudia also worked as a part-time law clerk for a small employment law firm, focusing mostly on plaintiff’s employment discrimination claims.
In her free time, Claudia enjoys cooking, spending her time with friends and family, and exploring the D.C. area.
